I just wanted to share with you all some recent
exciting experiences
that provide further "proof" that ...
This Virtual Consulting "stuff" Really
Works! :)
We are currently working with clients that are
located all over the
world.
We have never "physically" met any
of these clients (yet) and they
"signed" before even ever having spoken
to any of us on the phone.
All of the cultivation, negotiation and "signing"
of these clients was
performed completely virtually via email, discussion
forums/boards and
uploading/downloading files.
And ...
Right now we have Consultants also located all
over the world
working, wherever and whenever they prefer, with
these clients.
Further, all of these engagements are being successfully
managed
completely virtually by Engagement Managers located
remotely from any of
the Consultants performing the work and from the
clients.
So ...
This Virtual Consulting "stuff" Really
Works! and is Pretty Cool! B-)

Have you ever wondered where your client or colleague

located?
There are some very useful FREE resource site(s)
from which you can
"look up" their physical location, based
on area code, phone number, zip
code, etc.!

Have you ever wondered what (local) time it was
where your client or
colleague was (physically) located?
There are some very useful FREE resource site(s)
from which you can see
the local and GMT time(s) for all kinds of different
countries and major
cities all over the world!

Have you ever had to and/or wanted to communicate
with someone in their
native language, but you don't know any of that
language?
There are some very useful FREE resource site(s)
where you may lookup
words in other languages and/or input a word in
your language and it
translates it for you into another language,for
all kinds of different
languages all over the world!

Do you do business around the world and need
to request and/or make
payments in multiple currencies and from/to others
around the world?

What is your actual definition of a Virtual
Consultant, Michael?
I ask this a bit hesitantly as this is a new
area for me. Aren't most of us who offer
services over the Internet doing
consulting directly or indirectly - whether
or not we label ourselves as such?
When we receive an inquiry from a potential
client, it's rare when one e-mail or phone call
"cements" the deal. We usually spend
time
explaining the process (streaming), how
we do it (rudimentary), and what to expect etc.
Are we selling ourselves short by not calling
this "consulting" and charging for same?

What are your favourite / the best Telephone
System(s)?
If so, then:
1) What is your opinion / review of them?
2) Do they support teleconferencing of multiple
parties?
a) If so ...
i) Is there a limit to the number of people you
may have on a
teleconference?
ii) Are callers able to "dial into"
and "join" an ongoing
teleconference?
2) Do they support routing and/or forwarding of
calls, e.g.
a) When you are out of the office
b) And/or based on some other criteria or rules?
c) Are you able to control this routing / forwarding
via software? or ?
3) How good are their prices / rates for their
services?
4) How good is their Technical and/or Customer
Support?
4) How about the "down side(s)"?
a) What issues have you encountered?
i) How did you resolve them?
5) IYHO, What is the best / your favourite Telephone
System(s)? and why?
